I appreciate the professional service. I was a real downer for me that the insurance company declared my car a total loss for 1/3 of what I could of sold it for BEFORE the accident. I've taken my car to Preferred for multiple things and I'm always pleased. When my car had a mysterious noise in the back wheel, they stopped at nothing to find where and what was causing it. And they have free loaner vehicles while your own car is in the shop. Mine wasn't the most wonderful or new, but it was perfectly adequate... clean, A/C, etc. I had a coupon for a free inspection and it was actually free... not a way of finding lots of things to "fix". Simply, I trust them with my car and to be fair with pricing.

DISHONEST. I took my car there for a tune-up and to diagnose a leak in the interior (passenger side) of my car: 1) I have a high performance, reusable air filter in my car (k&n filter) that I installed myself. They replaced it with a cheap paper air filter and charged me for it. When I inquired they pretended like they didn't know, so I demanded that they return my air filter and undo the charge. I had to talk to the manager before they would agree to do anything. 2) Re the leak: I already knew that the problem was a clogged AC condenser but I intentionally did not tell them. One of the mechanics told me that the "whole condenser unit needed to be replaced". I told them to call the manager, I described the problem and the manager said it was a clogged condenser (contradicting what the mechanic told me). The problem was fixed in about 5 minutes. No apology was given, in fact the mechanic seemed somewhat upset that he got caught again. They charge prices that suggests that you would get dealership quality service, even though they are clearly incompetent and dishonest. IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAR AND MONEY DO NOT GO TO JIM'S AUTO.
